Our healthcare system has two different EMR's and each uses a 3rd party cardiac cath documentation system.  The vendor provides a PDF (non-coded) data into our EMR.  This does not allow the ability to extract coded data for date/time and procedure type of a PCI.  What are your recommendations, especially if we cannot change the vendor process?  Will we need to require providers to do duplicate work (enter procedure with date and time) in our EMR?  If anyone has resolved this problem, how did you do that?
