The third example blood pressure reading would meet the “First Hypertensive BP Reading” blood pressure classification because the systolic reading is greater than 130 mmHg or “Second Hypertensive BP Reading” because the systolic reading is within 130-139 mmHg. To meet the numerator criteria for CMS22v11 the “Elevated BP”, “First Hypertensive Reading” or “Second Hypertensive Reading” a follow-up plan has to be documented.
