Thank you for your inquiry regarding CMS133v12. The timing operator "starts 92 days or more before" given in the specs, will not include Cataract Surgery procedures performed on the 1st of October. The timing operator starts the count of days October 1st, therefore, ending December 31st. We hope this helps.

      Hello,

we have a question related to the measure CMS 133 for 2024.

Question is for the below guideline in the specs and related clause to this-

Only procedures performed during January 1 - September 30 of the reporting period will be considered for this

measure, in order to determine if 20/40 or better visual acuity has been achieved within the 90 days following the

cataract procedure. Cataract procedures performed during October 1 - December 31 are excluded from the initial

      population.

Cataract Surgery Between January and September of Measurement Period

      ["Procedure, Performed": "Cataract Surgery"] CataractSurgery

      where Global."NormalizeInterval" ( CataractSurgery.relevantDatetime, CataractSurgery.relevantPeriod ) during "Measurement Period"

      and Global."NormalizeInterval" ( CataractSurgery.relevantDatetime, CataractSurgery.relevantPeriod ) starts 92 days or more before

      end of "Measurement Period"

The question is, If the cataract surgery needs to be performed only till 30th Sep, so the timing operator "starts 92 days or more before" given in the specs, will include the 1st oct day as well for the cataract surgery, i.e., Going back from 31st Dec up to 92 days would include 1st oct as well.

Had it been "starts 93 days or more before", it would have restricted surgery till 30th Sep, i.e., Going back from 31st Dec up to 93 days would include 1st Jan- 30th Sep .

Please give some guidance on this.

      Thanks
