Thank you for your question on CMS334v5: Cesarean Birth. In order to provide the most accurate response possible, some modifications were needed to data element labels and date/time formats. For example, I have entered the date/times as mm/dd/yy:

      Patient A:
      IP admit date:12/5/24 01:00
      IP Discharge date: 12/16/24 12:00
      Start date, Assessment Performed : 12/5/24 02:00
Time of Delivery Result: 12/9/24 12:00

      Patient B:
      IP admit date:11/5/24 01:00
      IP Discharge date: 11/16/24 12:00
      Start date, Assessment Performed : 11/5/24 02:00
Time of Delivery Result: 12/9/24 12:00

Patient A would qualify for the denominator. Patient B would not qualify for the denominator as the time of delivery (result) is not during the encounter.

      Hi Team,

Consider the below part from Denominator :

      PCMaternal.LastTimeOfDelivery(Encounter "Encounter, Performed")
Last(["Assessment, Performed": "Date and time of obstetric delivery"] TimeOfDelivery
          where Global."EarliestOf"(TimeOfDelivery.relevantDatetime, TimeOfDelivery.relevantPeriod)during "HospitalizationWithEDOBTriageObservation"(Encounter)
and TimeOfDelivery.result as DateTime during "HospitalizationWithEDOBTriageObservation"(Encounter)
          sort by Global."EarliestOf"(relevantDatetime, relevantPeriod)
      ).result as DateTime

      Query :

      Patient A:

      IP admit date:5/12/24 01:00
      IP Discharge date: 16/12/24 12:00
Start date, Assesment Performed :5/12/24 02:00
Result date, Assesment Performed :9/12/24 12:00

      Patient B:
      IP admit date:5/11/24 01:00
      IP Discharge date: 16/11/24 12:00
Start date, Assesment Performed :5/11/24 02:00
Result date, Assesment Performed :9/12/24 12:00

Which of the above patients would qualify for the denominator condition mentioned above?

Request you to provide us with the resolution urgently as our client deliverables are dependent on it.
