As you noted, the value set “Encounter to Evaluate BMI" (2.16.840.1.113883.3.600.1.1751) includes the denominator codes for the measure and does contain the codes you listed. Thank you for sharing the impact of the denominator codes on your group. We will re-evaluate the measure criteria with our Expert Work Group during the next annual update.

      This will bring into the Denominator for UDS 2023 reporting mandated by HRSA a SIGNIFICANT number of patients that come to our health center (~35% or ~8000 patients) that come for visits where obtaining a BMI is not part of the care/triage (Dental and Behavioral Health visits).

      This will bring into the Denominator for UDS 2023 reporting mandated by HRSA a SIGNIFICANT number of patients that come to our health center (~35% or ~8000 patients) that come for visits where obtaining a BMI is not part of the care/triage (Dental and Behavioral Health visits).

      The UDS 2023 Manual and FACHC training happening on 11-02-2023 states that for the denominator of the Adult BMI eCQM CMS 69v11 will include patients that had Dental Visits and Behavioral Health Visits (OID 2.16.840.1.113883.3.600.1.1751 which includes codes for visits such as the ones outlined below).
