Thank your for your question on CMS22v12: Preventive Care and Screening: Screening for High Blood Pressure and Follow-Up Documented. If there is no indication that the diagnosis of hypertension starting 2022/02/08 17:05 subsequently “resolved” or was initially made in error, I think one could assume the diagnosis remained active. As CMS22 is a visit-based measure, visits with a patient having an active diagnosis of hypertension would be excluded from the measure denominator.

Our query is with reference to the CMS22v12 ticket(https://oncprojectracking.healthit.gov/support/browse/CYPRESS-2578) raised for Patient data of Brian Andrews present in test deck for cypress.

      As per the response,
      Patient has 3 relevant encounters
      Encounter 1: 2022/02/08 17:00 - 2022/02/08 18:00
      Encounter 2: 2022/06/10 16:00 - 2022/06/10 17:00
      Encounter 3: 2022/11/29 17:00 - 2022/11/29 18:00

The diagnosis starts on 2022/02/08 17:05 and does not have an end time.

As per data present in the cypress test deck for Patient named Brian Andrews, Diagnosis data is present on same visit id as that of encounter 1.
However there is no diagnosis data present on visit ids of encounter 2 and encounter 3. As the diagnosis is active when compared with encounter 2 and 3, is it appropriate to associate the visit ids of encounter 2 and 3 with diagnosis starting on 2022/02/08 17:05 ?
