I am seeking clarification on the Depression screening MIPS measurement. It reads as the following: "Follow-Up Plan - Documented follow-up for a positive depression screening must include one or more of the following: * Referral to a provider for additional evaluation and assessment to formulate a follow-up plan for a positive depression screen * Pharmacological interventions * Other interventions or follow-up for the diagnosis or treatment of depression" This is very vague and I am unclear if our social worker meets the follow up. Would a social worker be considered a mental health counselor? If the PHQ9 is positive, we were thinking we could choose "refer to mental health counselor" and the social worker would see them. Would this meet the measurement?
