Thank you for your question regarding CMS190v11 (Intensive Care Unit Venous Thromboembolism Prophylaxis). A patient who had a hip or knee replacement surgery prior to the qualifying encounter would satisfy the numerator criteria, “Encounter with Prior or Present Procedure of Hip or Knee Replacement Surgery”, as the logic is looking for a surgery that occurred during the current encounter OR prior to the encounter.

For the criteria "encounter with prior or present procedure or hip or knee replacement surgery", if the patient had a hip or knee replacement surgery for example X months prior, would this qualify?
