Our EHR vendor (Cerner) states that enteral routes do not meet numerator criteria but are unable to provide eCQM measure specification criteria showing that the "route" is included in any of the inclusion/exclusion criteria. I need to understand why an enteral route does not meet the numerator in a population of patients who are frequently unable to swallow but still require antithrombotic treatment.

We are not getting credit for qualifying antithrombotic medications ordered in an "oral" form unless they are administered "by mouth". If the oral medication is administered via a nasogastric or other enteral feeding tube, they are in the denominator but do not meet the numerator.

STK-05 Inclusion Criteria states, "Includes concepts that represent a medication that is an antithrombotic medication, including oral, rectal, and injectable forms". If the oral form of antithrombotic medication is ordered to be administered via enteral route (NG tube, PEG tube), and is administered as such, does this meet requirements to be included in the numerator? I can find no guidance specifying "routes" that are included/excluded, only "forms of medications".
