      Thank you for your questions related to CMS 347v5/v6 Statin Therapy for the Prevention and Treatment of Cardiovascular Disease.

      The CMS347 measure specifications for version 5 apply to performance year (PY) 2022. The programming logic for that version denotes an order for hospice on or before the end of the measurement period; a hospice intervention which started on or before the end of the measurement period; or an encounter for palliative care which started on or before the end of the measurement period.        The CMS347 measure specifications for version 6 apply to performance year PY2023. The programming logic for that version denotes an order for or receipt of hospice or palliative care taking place ‘on or before’ the end of the measurement period.        CMS defines the performance period for eligible clinicians as the measure data capture period of the calendar year between January 1 and December 31st, specifications that can be found at the eCQI Resource Center https://ecqi.healthit.gov/
