Thanks for your question regarding CMS159v11: Depression Remission at Twelve Months. The value set for Pervasive Developmental Disorder (2.16.840.1.113883.3.464.1003.105.12.1152) is stewarded by another measure steward. The other measure steward's definition of pervasive developmental included autism, childhood disintegrative disorder and two unspecified codes. Our measure development workgroup decided to align with other measure steward's definition of pervasive developmental disorder which Asperger's syndrome did not meet. The decision to not add Asperger’s syndrome (ICD-10 F84.5) as an exclusion was intentional and it was based on pervasive developmental disorder. Asperger's syndrome will not be added in the future.

    • Aspergers not included as an exclusion for CMS 159?

      Hello,

For CMS 159 Depression Remission at 12 months, the value set includes the ICD9 code that included Asperger's in it (299.80 Other specified pervasive developmental disorders, current or active state).

There is no ICD10 code for this, which would be F84.5.  Was this code intentionally left out of the value set?  If so, what is the reasoning for not including it as an exclusion for this measure?

      Thank you,

      Peggy
