Thank you for your inquiry specific to CMS871v3 Hospital Harm – Severe Hyperglycemia. Your understanding is correct. A value of 0 mg/dL as the result of a glucose test is considered valid, and therefore it is not considered a ‘no glucose day’. A ‘no glucose day’ is when a glucose test is not performed at all during that day interval, or when a glucose test is performed but the result is null (i.e., no value is found). We hope this helps.

      Hello Team,

We have a query wrt cms871v3.

Consider the following statement from numerator:

A day where a glucose test and result was not found, and it was immediately preceded by two contiguous, consecutive days where at least one glucose value during each of the two days was >=200 mg/dL

      #Query:

From the above statement we understand that 0 is also a valid glucose result and therefore it is not considered as a no glucose day. Kindly confirm our understanding.

Kindly assist us on the above queries urgently as client deliverables are dependent upon it.

      Thank you.
