As of the Cypress v1.0 release in January 2012, the patient records were crafted to execute the CQMs with a reporting period in 2010. MITRE has been working with ONC to address issues raised relating to this date issue to adjust the Cypress data to work for a reporting period in 2012. This change to 2012 reporting period for the Cypress test data will be made in the Cypress v2.1 release that is currently planned for February 28th 2013.

This solution does not address the specific issue raised in the description, but our thinking is that the data entry pain point as largely been mitigated.

The Cypress test patient records include back-dated admissions and clinical documentation charting. EHRs have been built with controls to support timely charting for optimal patient care and prevent back-dating by design. Is it acceptable to use the test patient content and elapsed time between charting episodes with current times rather than the exact times provided with the test patients?
