Thank you for your question for CMS159v12: Depression Remission at Twelve Months. Given use of the logic including 'day of,' we expect that an Index Depression Assessment occurring at any time of a day, whether the day is the same day of the qualifying encounter or up to 7 days prior to the encounter, regardless of the time of day of the qualifying encounter, would be valid. Please let us know if this does not answer your question.

CMS159- Index Depression Assessment is during day of Interval[ToDate((start of DepressionEncounter.relevantPeriod)- 7 days),
              end of DepressionEncounter.relevantPeriod]

      For example:

If Depression encounter was on 11/8/2022  from 8:00 AM to 8:15 AM

Is Depression Assessment valid if documented between 11/1/2022 - 12:00 AM to 11/8/2022 11:59 PM
(due to the 'dayof' logic alignment)

Or should Depression Assessment be documented anytime between 11/1/2022 - 12:00 AM to 11/8/2022 8:15 AM
