Thank you for your inquiry regarding the CMS819v2 Hospital Harm - Opioid-Related Adverse Events. The measure calculations in the ‘Guidance’ section of the narrative reflects how the performance rate is determined rather than how it is calculated.
Please refer to the Electronic Clinical Quality Measure Logic and Implementation Guidance document Version 6.0 for specific information on performance rate calculation located in the Electronic Clinical Quality Improvement (eCQI) Resource Center https://ecqi.healthit.gov/sites/default/files/eCQM-Logic-and-Guidance-v6.pdf

CMS819v2 is a proportion measure, is defined as follows: Performance Rate = (NUMER) / (DENOM). We hope this provides the resolution you were seeking.

      Hello Team,

Consider the following from guidance section of the measure:

To calculate the hospital-level measure result, divide the total numerator events by the total number of qualifying encounters (denominator).

      Query # 1:

Since measure guidance section mention about measure result calculation, please help us understand how we interpret the above statement as there is nothing such calculation in measure logic.

Request you to provide us with the resolution urgently as our client deliverables are dependent on it.
