      We are submitting for HIQR program VTE2 measures.

      One of the patient is qualifying in denominator exclusion in tool for

      Below condition

      Encounter With First ICU Stay With Principal Procedure of SCIP VTE Selected Surgery

      •  
      • "Encounter With ICU Location" QualifyingEncounterICU
      •   with ( "SCIP VTE Selected Surgery" Procedure
      •     where Procedure.rank = 1 ) SelectedSCIPProcedure
      •     such that Global."NormalizeInterval" ( SelectedSCIPProcedure.relevantDatetime, SelectedSCIPProcedure.relevantPeriod ) ends during TJC."CalendarDayOfOrDayAfter" ( VTE."StartOfFirstICU" ( QualifyingEncounterICU ) )

       

      Here are the example procedure dates and ICU dates

      Procedure start datetime ->2022-02-25 22:15:00 and end datetime -> 2022-02-26 02:05:00

      Inpatient Encounter start datetime->2022-02-25 13:40:00  and end datetime ->2022-03-03 00:00:00

      ICU location start datetime -> 2022-02-26 01:24:00 and end datetime -> 2022-03-01 15:00:00

       

      Our understanding is patient should not qualify in denominator exclusion as procedure.relevantdatetime (2022-02-25 22:15:00) is not during FirstICU.startdateime (2022-02-26 01:24:00)

      And FirstICU.startdateime+1 day(2022-02-27 00:00:00)
