Thank you for your inquiry about CMS12v11. Published versions of the measures in the Quality Payment Program cannot be changed after publication. We anticipate to align with the current ACIP guidelines during our current annual update cycle. For the performance year 2023, implementers may map additional formulations of the pneumococcal conjugate vaccine, including pneumococcal conjugate vaccine 15 valent and pneumococcal conjugate vaccine 20 valent to CVX code 215 and 216 in the Adult Pneumococcal Vaccine (OID: 2.16.840.1.113883.3.464.1003.1161) value set.

    • Hi. CMS 127 is still looking only to PCV13. Due to an update in guidelines, clinicians providing evidence-based clinical care may have a low numerator for this measure as currently built.

      Please see https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/vpd/pneumo/hcp/recommendations.html

Updated ACIP guidelines indicate patients >/= 65 y/o (not 60 y/o) should get either PCV20 OR PCV15 and then PPSV23 one year later.
(or if they received PPSV23 before turning 65, they should get one dose of PCV 20 or a dose of PCV15).
