Thank you for your inquiry regarding CMS156v11-v2 for 2023 Performance Period. The Average Daily Dose function calculates average daily dose based on the RxNorm code, supply, and days supplied of a medication ordered during the measurement period. If the medication's days supplied is null or 0, we would expect no result to be calculated; otherwise, result is calculated based on the days supplied and the other information available from the medication order.

For measure 156, we divide by days supplied for the Average Daily Dose function. If a medication is ordered and then canceled on the same day, should that medication be counted as lasting 1 day, or should it be NULL?

      Thank you.
