Thank you for your inquiry for CMS165v11 (2023 Performance Period). The measure allows patient reported data using most methods of digital collection/reporting and prohibits patient reported data taken with non-digital devices, such as with a manual blood pressure cuff and stethoscope. We do not have a list of valid remote monitoring devices for this measure; it would be up to the clinician to determine that the reading, read directly or conveyed by the patient, came from a digital device before documenting it.

Regarding CMS 165-Controlling High Blood Pressure. What is your definition of acceptable Remote Monitoring Device? Is it acceptable for a patient to convey to a provider a blood pressure reading taken by the patient using their digital blood pressure cuff?
