Thank you for your inquiry for CMS155v10. The intent of the measure is for a PCP or OB/GYN to perform the encounter in the Initial Population. As specified in the measure logic, visits that would qualify for the Initial Population are those encoded with any codes listed in the value sets from the "Qualifying Encounters" definition. The events in the Numerators do not need to be performed by a particular clinician type.

    • Can specialty providers other than OB use this measure too?

Our AllScripts EMR trainer for this measure informed us that our specialty clinics can use it and not just PCP. I am trying to validate that statement prior to our 2022 submission. This measure: Weight Assessment and Counseling for Nutrition and Physical Activity for Children/Adolescents, CMS155v10 Description: Percentage of patients 3-17 years of age who had an outpatient visit with a Primary Care Physician (PCP) or Obstetrician/Gynecologist (OB/GYN) and who had evidence of the following during the measurement period. Three rates are reported. * Percentage of patients with height, weight, and body mass index (BMI) percentile documentation * Percentage of patients with counseling for nutrition * Percentage of patients with counseling for physical activity.
