Thank you for your inquiry regarding CMS72v10 (STK 5) and CMS104v10 (STK 2).

You are correct that Aspirin 81 mg oral tablet and Aspirin 81 mg oral capsule are not included in the value sets of the 2021-05-06 update - OID 2.16.840.1.113762.1.4.1110.62. Furthermore, we are not able to backfit later value set updates into earlier versions. Your local medication codes will need to be mapped to the Semantic Clinical Drug RxNorm codes found in the reporting years’ value set in order to satisfy the electronic clinical quality measure.

For reporting year 2022, you can map the Aspirin 81 mg oral tablet and Aspirin 81 mg oral capsule to the chewable or delayed release codes that are available in the 2021-05-06 update. Then later, for reporting year 2023, you can map them to the new codes that are available in the 2022-05-05 update.

Thank you for your question. We hope this helps.

    • CMS0072v10
    • Stroke 2 and Stroke 5

      1. While reviewing Stroke 2 and Stroke 5, I noticed that Aspirin 81 mg oral tablet and Aspirin 81 mg oral capsule are not included in the value sets of 2021-05-06 update - OID 2.16.840.1.113762.1.4.1110.62, which affects the CMS 104 v10 and CMS72 v10. These resulted in fallouts. Can these dosages be added to the 2021 update?

      2. Aspirin 81mg chewable tablets and the delayed-release tablets are included, are we allowed to map the aspirin 81 mg tablets to these values?

Thank you so much. Please advise.
