Clinically equivalent services may be mapped to the codes used in CMS56v11 and CMS66v11 to satisfy the assessment requirements. If mapping is done, you should maintain documentation in case of a CMS audit.

Impact:
I would like to know if the WOMAC Functional Status Tool would be accepted as an alternative to the HOOS KOOS since it is more comprehensive and covers the same Data Points.

Our organization already uses WOMAC for research purposes and adding the additional HOOS KOOS surveys would be redundant for the patient and staff.
