Hi Team,
Consider the below statements :
1.Active Exclusion Diagnosis at Start of ED Encounter :
"ED Encounter with STEMI Diagnosis" EDwSTEMI
with ( ["Diagnosis": "Active Bleeding or Bleeding Diathesis (Excluding Menses)"]
union ["Diagnosis": "Malignant Intracranial Neoplasm Group"]
union ["Diagnosis": "Cerebral Vascular Lesion"]
union ["Diagnosis": "Dementia"]
union ["Diagnosis": "Pregnancy"]
union ["Diagnosis": "Allergy to thrombolytics"] ) ActiveExclusionDx
such that ActiveExclusionDx.prevalencePeriod overlaps before EDwSTEMI.relevantPeriod
Query 1 :
Patient A :
ED Admit date : 5/5/2023
ED Discharge date : 10/5/2023
Diagnosis of dementia onset date : 1/1/2022
Diagnosis of dementia abatement Date : Null
Will this patient qualify for exclusion ?
Patient B :
ED Admit date : 5/5/2023
ED Discharge date : 10/5/2023
Diagnosis of Dementia onset date : 5/5/2023
Diagnosis of Dementia abatement date : Null
Will this patient qualify for exclusion ?
Patient C :
ED Admit date : 5/5/2023
ED Discharge date : 10/5/2023
Diagnosis of Dementia onset date : 6/5/2023
Diagnosis of Dementia abatement date : Null
Will this patient qualify for exclusion ?
2.Major Surgical Procedure 21 Days or Less Before End of ED Encounter
"ED Encounter with STEMI Diagnosis" EDwSTEMI
with ["Procedure, Performed": "Major Surgical Procedure"] MajorSurgery
such that Global."NormalizeInterval" ( MajorSurgery.relevantDatetime, MajorSurgery.relevantPeriod ) starts 21 days or less before
end of EDwSTEMI.relevantPeriod
Query 2 :
How do we interpret the statement "starts 21 days or less before end of EDwSTEMI.relevantPeriod" of the above part of the exclusion. Should we consider discharge day and 21 days before or only 21 days before ?
Request you to provide us with the resolution urgently as our client deliverables are dependent on it.
Thank you.
