Thank you for your inquiry regarding the CMS871 measure. We agree with the expectation that your test case should result in one episode to fall into the Denominator Exclusion and the other into the Numerator. We will evaluate the logic in the upcoming Annual Update 2023.

      Hi team,

We were validating a few scenarios under vendor patients for CMS871 for the 2022 measure release. Attached is the input zip file containing QRDA1 files.

QRDA_testEvalCMS871v2DenomExclSC1.xml - Scenario contains a single episode with labtest satisfying the Denominator Exclusion criteria.
QRDA_testEvalCMS871v2DenomExclSC2.xml - Scenario contains a single episode with labtest satisfying the Numerator criteria.
QRDA_testEvalCMS871v2DenomExclSC3.xml - Scenario contains 2 episodes, first episode has a labtest satisfying the Denominator Exclusion criteria, second episode has a labtest satisfying the Numerator criteria.

Attached is the output zip file containing the cypress vendor output files.

We see that for the scenario containing 2 episodes i.e., testEvalCMS871v2DenomExclSC3, the measure information section shows both episodes satisfying Denominator Exclusion criteria while the expectation was 1 episode to fall into Denominator Exclusion and the other into Numerator.

      Kindly clarify.
