      ​​Thank you for your inquiry. Since this eCQM measures the rate of harms during inpatient hospitalizations, a lower measure score indicates higher quality. The measure score, or performance rate, is calculated using the sample calculation below and attached:

      Measure Observations associated with the Numerator (n=10) divided by the difference between Measure Observations associated with the Denominator (n=500) and Denominator Exclusions (n=50) equals 10/450, which equals a rate of 2.22%.
