      ​​Thank you for your inquiry on VTE-1, Venous Thromboembolism Prophylaxis. The measure is looking for VTE Prophylaxis Received From Day of Start of Hospitalization To Day After Admission or Procedure. In the case provided, the patient arrives to the ED on 1/1/2022 at 2100, but is not admitted to the hospital until 1/2/2022 at 0100. The eligible time frame for VTE Prophylaxis by Medication Administered or Device Applied will be anytime between 1/1/2022 (day of arrival) through 1/3/2022 2359 (day after inpatient admission), when ED ends within 1 hour before inpatient admission time. If ED ends over 1 hour before inpatient admission, the ED arrival will NOT be considered as Start of Hospitalization, rather 1/2/2022 will be considered the Start of Hospitalization.
