In 2022 ECQM measures how will this work with specialists or urgent care services? Will these specialist be required to capture the 3 quality measures on every patient encounter or are there certain encounter codes that may eliminate them from reporting.

There are no program requirements that stipulate that a specialist is required to capture all 3 quality measures (CMS2, CMS122, CMS165) during each patient encounter. When reviewing each measure's qualifying encounter codes, the inclusion of a specific encounter code for one measure may mean that a patient meets the denominator requirements of a different measure (i.e. the necessary qualifying encounter necessary). The encounter codes are included in value sets, which are identified in the logic for each measure. You can review the specific encounter codes included in each value set on the Value Set Authority Center (VSAC) at https://vsac.nlm.nih.gov/. Please reference the measure specification logic and value sets for specific encounter codes.
