The initial patient population is as follows: Inpatient hospitalizations for single newborns who were born in the hospital that ends during the measurement period, and with either of the following conditions:  - An estimated gestational age at birth of >= 37 weeks  - Birth weight >= 3000 grams without an estimated gestational age at birth ​In the scenarios you provided: Patient 1 will fail the IPP because EGA is 36 weeks, as 37 is a threshold. •Admission- 1 jan 2021 •Discharge - 8 jan 2021 •Diagnosis of single lifebirth •Gestational age-36 week •Birth Weight 3100g Patient 2 will be in the IPP because EGA is null but birthweigh is 3100g, as 3000g is a threshold. •Admission - 1 jan 2021 •Discharge 8 jan 2021 •Diagnosis of single lifebirth •Gestational age not specified •Birth Weight code - 3100g
