Thank you for your question about the “Rivaroxaban for VTE Prophylaxis” value set for measures CMS 108v10/VTE-1 “Venous Thromboembolism Prophylaxis” and CMS 190v10/VTE-2 “Intensive Care Unit Venous Thromboembolism Prophylaxis.” Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. To be consistent with removal of betrixaban RXNORM codes from the value set, we will remove the word "betrixaban" from the value set purpose statement in the next Annual Update.​

In reviewing release notes and value sets, betrixaban (RXnorm 1927856, 19727864) were removed from the renamed value set 'Rivaroxaban for VTE Prophylaxis (2.16.840.1.113762.1.4.1110.50)'. In reviewing the renamed value set, Betrixaban is still referenced in several columns in the value set spreadsheets. Should these references be removed since the RX norms associated with the medication have been removed?
