Thank you for your inquiry about the Preventive Care and Screening: Screening for Depression and Follow-Up Plan (QI134/CMS2v10) measure.

Per the measure specification, the denominator for this measure includes "All patients aged 12 years and older at the beginning of the measurement period with at least one eligible encounter during the measurement period." Therefore, the answer to your question depends on whether a claim was submitted for the visit. If the visit was canceled and a claim was not submitted, then the visit would not be able to meet the Encounter Performed QDM data type and would not count toward the denominator.

If the visit was canceled and a claim was submitted with the specified codes included in either of the value sets "Encounter, Performed: Encounter to Screen for Depression" (2.16.840.1.113883.3.600.1916)" or "Encounter, Performed: Physical Therapy Evaluation" (2.16.840.1.113883.3.526.3.1022)," the visit would then fall into the measure's eligible denominator population.

For the eCQM Measure 2 - Preventive Care and Screening: Screening for Depression and Follow-Up Plan, if a patient fills out a PHQ2/9 survey before an office visit and the office visit is subsequently canceled, does this visit still count against the denominator? Or does this not count due to the visit being canceled?
