DO NOT SUBTRACT EXCLUSIONS OR EXCEPTIONS FROM THE DENOMINATOR BEFORE THE DENOMINATOR IS REPORTED.

The subtraction of the exclusions and exceptions happens when you go to compute the 'rate'.

Please note that while the future versions of the Guide to Reading e-Measures will clarify the application of exclusions and exceptions, it is not specific to MU measures and therefore the Blueprint, Guidance document, and CYPRESS projects should be used for guidance on the MU2 eCQMs.

Are exclusions removed prior to the denominator calculation?
