The V1 version of this measure includes:
OR: "Medication, Active not done: Medical Reason" for "Hospital Measures-Aspirin RxNorm Value Set" during "Occurrence A of Encounter, Performed: Hospital Measures-Encounter Inpatient (discharge datetime)"

This says: Medication, Active: "Hospital Measures-Aspirin" was not done due to "Medical Reason" -- so it requires two value sets.

This is eliminated from the V2 version of the measure. The Active State of the medication is a "state of being" -- a description of state, not a description of an action -- so the negation didn't make a lot fo sense. This was corrected in the subsequent version.

The following data element is listed under Data criteria (QDM Data Elements), but does not seem to be included in the Population criteria? Please clarify.
"Medication, Active: Hospital Measures-Aspirin" using "Hospital Measures-Aspirin RxNorm Value Set (2.16.840.1.113883.3.666.5.626)"
What does Medication, Active type (state) refer to ... How is it different from Medication, Administered and Medication, Order?
