      Open source code for parsing the eCQMs is part of the Cypress project. (projectcypress.org). Cypress essentially compiles HQMFR1 into an interim version of HQMFR2 (which is still undergoing ballot updates), as well as executable Javascript. When HQMFR2 is published, it is expected that Cypress' code base will provide a translation of the HQMFR1 eCQMs to HQMFR2.

      General question regarding status of parsing the CQMs. In current form no easy way of parsing. Request status of the translation from HQMF to HQMF++, and then into the interim format for parsing. Absent this approach, it is resource-intensive to devise an electronic way to parse and operationalize the measure specs, compared to hand-coding them based on the human-readable format. This is the biggest and most important question we have about HQMF, both in the EP and EH CQMs.
