​CMS has determined that the measures in question, in particular measures with follow up, are not appropriate for the hospital setting/encounters. The addition of the suggested CPT codes could inappropriately place patients and attributing doctors into the measures. CMS would welcome additional input on this issue through the upcoming rule making public comment cycle.
