      CMS and those contracted to maintain quality measures update measure specifications annually. Vendors should use the latest published version for the appropriate reporting year. The latest published version is available on the eCQI resource center ( https://ecqi.healthit.gov/ep ) under eCQMs for the 2017 performance period. The latest specification is also posted on CMS.gov and located under eCQMs for eReporting for the 2017 Performance Period (as of April 2016) (https://www.cms.gov/Regulations-and-Guidance/Legislation/EHRIncentivePrograms/eCQM_Library.html).

      We submitted the response we received from the Jira Team regarding Depression screening: Depression screening does not have to be completed on the most recent visit but needs to be completed during the measurement period on the same date as the encounter. Our vendor is not accepting the response.I have submitted your response to our EHR vendor plus sent screenshots of the CMS eCQM webpage that references going through JIRA for questions regarding the eCQMs: https://www.cms.gov/regulations-and-guidance/legislation/ehrincentiveprograms/ecqm_library.html
       

      The vendor, Greenway, states:
      The information we use to program the logic for the measures is direct from CMS. If you want the measure changed, we need certified documentation directly from CMS stating that they will accept any qualifying visit within the reporting period. I understand where they are coming from about the information they have provided, but this cannnot be moved up the line to development to potentially have the measure changed unless we have it in writing directly from CMS. If you are unable to provide that, it will not be possible to elevate the case for further review.
