      Thank you for your questions.

If a patient presents in spontaneous labor and the documented time in the EHR for spontaneous labor is the same for Artificial Rupture of Membranes, would this count as a failure?

•Yes. Artificial Rupture of Membranes can be documented up to a minute before Labor, but not concurrently.
Also, if a patient presents in spontaneous labor and receives oxytoxin for augmentation of labor, would this count as a failure as well?

•If the patient presents in labor and labor is documented prior to documentation of oxytocin administration the patient should be included in the numerator.

      Timing of documentation for PC-01
. If a patient presents in spontaneous labor and the documented time in the EHR for spontaneous labor is the same for Artificial Rupture of Membranes, would this count as a failure? Also, if a patient presents in spontaneous labor and receives oxytoxin for augmentation of labor, would this count as a failure as well?

Based on the algorithim and interpretation by our vendor, these cases are currently failing and are being counted as being induced.
