Thank you for submitting your issue. You are correct, the rectal forms of aspirin are missing from the Antithrombotic Therapy value set (2.16.840.1.113883.3.117.1.7.1.201) from the 2015 version (2016 reporting). However, the following codes were added during the 2016 Annual Updates cycle:

      198464

      198463

      198473

RxNorm code 198461 Aspirin 120 mg Rectal Suppository was not added because it does not have the "prescribable" property. Please see Electronic Clinical Quality Measure Logic and Implementation Guidance v1.12, section 5.2 Drug Representations Used in Value Sets for more information. This document is located here:

RxNorm code 198464 - aspirin 300 MG Rectal Suppository isn't included in the value set 2.16.840.1.113883.3.117.1.7.1.201 for Medication, Administered: Antithrombotic Therapy. We believe that aspirin suppositories are as effective antithrombotics as other forms of aspirin if given on a regular schedule, i.e. not on a PRN basis, and should be included.
