Percentage of adults 50-75 years of age who had appropriate screening for colorectal cancer.
We received the following question through JIRA:
Can a fecal immunochemistry test (FIT) satisfy the colorectal cancer screening measure? The ACS recommends this test with the same guidance as fOBT

We will be making the following changes to the measure:
Header: Numerator
Patients with one or more screenings for colorectal cancer. Appropriate screenings are defined by any one of the following criteria:
- Fecal occult blood test (FOBT) during the measurement period
- Flexible sigmoidoscopy during the measurement period or the four years prior to the measurement period
- Colonoscopy during the measurement period or the nine years prior to the measurement period
- FIT-DNA during the measurement period or the two years prior to the measurement period
- CT Colonography during the measurement period or the four years prior to the measurement period
Logic: Numerator
•Numerator =
◦AND: Union of:
◾"Procedure, Performed: Colonoscopy" <= 9 year(s) ends before end of "Measurement Period"
◾"Laboratory Test, Performed: Fecal Occult Blood Test (FOBT) (result)" during "Measurement Period"
◾"Procedure, Performed: Flexible Sigmoidoscopy" <= 4 year(s) ends before end of "Measurement Period"
◾OR: “Laboratory Test, Result: FIT-DNA” <= 2 year(s) ends before end of “Measurement Period”
◾OR: “Procedure, Performed: CT Colonography” <= 4 year(s) ends before end of “Measurement Period”
Value Sets:
We will create code-lists for "FIT-DNA" as well as "CT Colongraphy"
