ICD 10 code Z86.718 would not be included in VTE-108 "Diagnosis Active: Venous Thromboembolims" using "Venous Thromboembolism Grouping Value Set (2.16.840.1.113883.3.117.1.7.1.279)" as a history of VTE does not exclude the case from being assessed for VTE Prophylaxis during the current admission. Z79.01 would not be included in VTE-108 as well because it again reflects only a history of VTE, not acute VTE and does not specify what type of anticoagulant the patient was on, therefore, the patient should still be assessed for VTE Prophylaxis.

VTE-108 is currently lacking the ICD code Z86.718 - Personal History of other venous thrombosis and embolism and Z79.01 - Long term (current) use of anticoagulants. This issue is causing fallouts of patients that would normally be numerator patients. Please consider these codes for the next version of the EH Value Set
