    • Mapping SNOMED CT to ICD-10
    • Thank you for your question. The VTE confirmed value set is not specified in ICD-10-CM because it is used in the VTE eCQMs as the result of a VTE diagnostic test. For this reason, there are no plans to represent this concept in ICD-10-CM.

    • Unable to fully identify VTE confirmation diagnosis due to missing code systems from value set

      Value Set Name: VTE Confirmed
      Value Set OID: 2.16.840.1.113883.3.117.1.7.1.407

This appears to be a value set for Diagnosis. Typically diagnosis value sets are include ICD-9-CM, ICD-10-CM and SNOMED CT codes. We are unable to identify a "Grouping" Value Set for this measure that includes all the above code systems. Will Joint Commission update the value set to include ICD-9-CM and ICD-10-CM as we do not gather diagnostic information using SNOMED CT?
