Thank you for your question. The logic as written does restrain the timing to "during Occurrence A of the $EncounterInpatient": > 1440 minute(s) starts before start of ("Occurrence A of Procedure, Performed: General or Neuraxial Anesthesia" during Occurrence A of $EncounterInpatient )

In the SCIP-INF-2 Denominator Exclusion logic, there is a condition for Antimicrobial Medications starting more than 1440 minutes before the start of anesthesia during the encounter. There is no limit on how far before anesthesia these meds can be given though, meaning antimicrobial meds given in a previous encounter can count for this exclusion.

◦OR: "Medication, Administered: IV, IM, PO Antimicrobial Medications (route: Substance or Medication Administration Route IV, oral or IM)" > 1440 minute(s) starts before start of ("Occurrence A of Procedure, Performed: General or Neuraxial Anesthesia" during Occurrence A of $EncounterInpatient )
