    • Several RxNorm codes within the Med, Active: Systemic Corticosteroid/Prednisone Therapy value set cause the patient to evaluate positively for the CMS 188 DEN EXCL logic, instead of DEN EXCEP where the data element is present.

      Codes within DEN EXCEP Med, Active: Systemic Corticosteroid/Prednisone Therapy value set crosswalk with codes in DEN EXCL Med, Active: Immunosuppressive Therapy (e.g., RxNorm 312617: Prednisone 5mg Oral Tablet, along with many other codes). Depending on which code is present in a patient's profile the patient will evaluate in different ways.
