Clarify Intent of "Request of Physician" for Vancomycin in CQM-172

      ​Thank you for your question. This attribute-request of physician-was a way of trying to specify the criterion that if a hospital or facility is having an outbreak of higher than usual numbers of MRSA than it is appropriate to give Vancomycin instead of the recommended antibiotic. We discussed this at length as there did not seem to be a way to add this in the logic, but we felt it important that there be a way for Vancomycin to be given if needed such as in this case.

      Unsure of intent behind "request of physician" in regards to Vancomycin order within CQM-172. This medication requires a physician order and this logic is not included for any other antibiotic for this measure. Please clarify the intent around this logic.
