The measure specifications are updated annually by CMS. Each measure version within MU2 is published during the year prior to its intended use. However, participation in different CMS programs leads to different CMS requirements. Therefore, it's necessary to check with the program regarding whether the program requires updated measures. For electronic reporting (as opposed to attestation) using QRDA, it is generally required to update to the most recent version. For attestation, users can frequently report older measure versions.
