    • Thank you for pointing out this issue. The VTE confirmed value sets is intended to include only acute thromboembolisms. The two SNOMED-CT codes you indicated were include in error, and will be removed in the upcoming annual update.

      Discrepancy between VTE Confirmed Value Set (OID 2.16.840.1.113883.3.117.1.7.1.407, Steward--TJC) and CMS Core Measure VTE Confirmed in that CMS Core Measure VTE Confirmed excludes subacute VTEs. Two SNOMED codes for subactue VTEs are included in VTE Confirmed Value Set (233939005 Subacute pulmonary fat embolism (disorder) and 233937007 Subacute massive pulmonary embolism (disorder)).
