CMS185V2 (NQF0716) uses a QDM of Diagnosis, Active to identify gestational age; however, all other EH 2014 CQMs referencing gestational age use a QDM of Patient/Individual Characteristic. This inconsistency makes using a consistent reporting logic difficult. Also, gestational age is typically captured as a discrete data element in the CEHRT, not on diagnosis/problem control. Will this logic be updated to use Patient Characteristic in the next CQM logic update?
