SME Session 4: An HL7 FHIR Standard Based Solution for Intermediary-to-Intermediary Exchange and Reliable Routing with Metadata

The FAST Exchange Tiger Team focused on proposed solutions to address barriers related to transaction exchange for FHIR-based solutions at scale.

The group of SMEs invited to participate in this session will be asked to evaluate the team's proposed solutions: Reliable Routing with Metadata Across Intermediaries and Reliable Routing Across Intermediaries Using Destination Specific and provide their expert insight and opinion on these solutions.

The solutions aim to answer the following questions:

  1. How do we consistently and reliably exchange clinical data across a hybrid system where partners may use one or more intermediaries for technical and business operations?
  2. How do we standardize metadata exchange?

These solutions are focused on enabling consistent and reliable transaction exchange.
