Phase One Pilot Surveys
The results of the first pilot surveys are available for review.

CQF Pilots Purpose

The purpose of the ONC Pilot phase is to evaluate and implement the technology in real-world situations and aid in learning the policies that will be required for an operational system, identify barriers for implementation, and revise reference implementations and harmonized specifications based on real-world lessons learned. Finally the implementations will be transitioned to open source communities for long term sustainment. CQF aims to improve the rigor of its specifications by piloting them with members of the CQF community.

Goal and Scope

Goal
The goal of the pilot(s) is to:

  • Assess the readiness of the harmonized standards.
  • Identify and address issues in the specifications.

Pilot Scope

  • Specific scope will be defined by pilot groups.
  • The scope will range from detailed review to potentially implementation

Success Criteria

  • Specific success criteria will be defined by pilot groups.
  • Evidence-based assessment of readiness of the standards
    • Preferably based on real implementations
  • Identification of issues needing enhancement
  • Recommendations for correcting identified issues

Meetings

If your organization is interested in Piloting for the Clinical Quality Framework initiative, please reach out to any of the initiative contacts located on the CQF wiki homepage.

Pilot Preparation Materials

As part of the pilots, each pilot organization needs to complete and present the Pilots Project Documentation to the team. This is considered one of the deliverables for pilot activities.

Below are templates to assist with this activity. Both templates contain the same information, so please use whichever template works best for you. Keep in mind you will be presenting this information to the pilots group as part of the Pilots activities.
