Solution: Thank you for raising this issue. In the next annual update cycle, we plan to remove the <1 day threshold. With this revision, documentation of gestational age >=37 weeks any time during the Inpatient Encounter would suffice for inclusion in the IPP.

Impact: Initial Patient Population Constraint for CMS 9 is unclear

 Description

CMS9 has the following statement in the IPP logic:

AND: "Physical Exam, Finding: Estimated Gestational Age at Birth (result >= 37 week(s))" < 1 day(s) starts during "Occurrence A of Encounter, Performed: Encounter Inpatient"

"<1 day starts during" is not logically consistent.

Is "<1 day starts after start of" the intended meaning?

Logic was revised in subsequent AU.

Yes, it should be "< 1 day(s) starts after start of". See CQM-1110. It will presumably be corrected in the next annual update.
