The PACIO (Post-Acute Care Interoperability) Project, established February 2019, is a collaborative effort between industry, government, and other stakeholders, with the goal of establishing a framework for the development of FHIR implementation guides to facilitate health information exchange.
What was the process for prioritizing inclusion of data elements currently not used to calculate a quality measure in any existing CMS quality program. The PACIO community notes that highest priority data elements for inclusion in USCDI+ Quality should be those needed to calculate measures currently in quality programs. PACIO recommends ONC consider prioritizing data elements necessary to calculate the measures included on the Universal Measure Foundation.
